Tuition and Fees

Mission ECHT offers flexible enrollment options for students in kindergarten through grade 8. Our after-school program combines environmental education, STEAM enrichment, creative projects, homework time, outdoor activities, and opportunities for children to relax and connect with friends after the school day.

Enrollment is offered for four or five days per week, with pickup options at 4:30 PM or 6:00 PM.

*Kindergarten tuition reflects the additional program hours required on kindergarten early-dismissal days.

The four-day schedule that includes Wednesday is higher because scheduled early-release Wednesdays require additional program hours.

Tuition Payment Schedule

Tuition is based on enrollment for the full school year and is divided into 10 equal monthly payments.

Monthly tuition is due on the first day of each month. Families may pay one month at a time, pay several months in advance, or pay the full annual tuition in advance (discounts apply) Monthly tuition reserves the child’s place in the program. It is not calculated according to the number of school days in an individual month.

Annual Registration Fee

A non-refundable annual registration fee is due after a child has been offered a place and the family accepts enrollment.

  • New families: $100 per family, per school year

  • Returning families: $50 per family, per school year

The registration fee is separate from tuition and helps cover enrollment processing, record preparation, scheduling, and administrative expenses.

There is no fee to submit an interest form or join the waitlist.

Sibling Discount

Families enrolling two or more children receive a 10% sibling discount on the tuition of each additional child.

The discount applies to the child with the lower tuition when siblings are enrolled in different schedules. The first child’s tuition is charged at the regular rate.

The sibling discount applies to tuition only. It does not apply to registration fees, optional programs, transportation, late fees, or other charges.

Annual Payment Discount

Families who pay the entire school-year tuition by August 15, 2026, receive a 3% pay-in-full discount.

To qualify, full payment must be received by the deadline and paid by check or ACH bank transfer.

The annual-payment discount:

  • Applies to tuition only

  • Does not apply to registration fees or other charges

  • Is unavailable for enrollment beginning after the school year has started

  • Is calculated after the sibling discount, when applicable

  • Remains subject to Mission ECHT’s withdrawal and refund policies

Combining Discounts

Families may combine the 10% sibling discount with the 3% annual-payment discount.

When both discounts apply:

  1. The 10% sibling discount is applied to each additional child’s tuition.

  2. The 3% annual-payment discount is then applied to the remaining tuition balance.

Discounts may not be transferred, exchanged for cash, or combined with other tuition reductions unless Mission ECHT provides written approval.

What Tuition Includes

Regular school-year tuition includes:

  • Hands-on environmental education

  • Science and STEAM enrichment

  • Oceans, waterways, wildlife, and conservation projects

  • Sustainability and waste-reduction activities

  • Gardening and nature-based learning

  • Art, creativity, and innovation projects

  • Supervised homework and quiet reading time

  • Age-appropriate leadership and teamwork activities

  • Outdoor activities when weather and location permit

  • Standard program materials and supplies

  • A daily healthy snack

  • Regular early-release programming when the child is enrolled for that day

Additional Fees

The following services or activities may require a separate fee:

  • Vacation-week programming

  • Professional-development and other no-school days

  • Full-day programs

  • Field trips

  • Special workshops

  • Activities requiring substantial additional materials

  • Drop-in or unscheduled attendance, when available

Families will be informed of any additional fee before registering for an optional activity or service.

School Calendar and Closures

The Mission ECHT Afterschool Program follows the Weston Public Schools calendar.

The regular program will not operate when Weston Public Schools are closed for holidays or school-vacation weeks unless Mission ECHT announces a separate optional program.

Because tuition is based on the full school-year program and divided into equal monthly payments, tuition will not be reduced because of:

  • Holidays

  • School-vacation weeks

  • Months containing fewer school days

  • Student absences

  • Family vacations

  • Illness

  • Extracurricular activities

  • Weather-related school closures

  • Emergency closures outside Mission ECHT’s control

Optional vacation-week, professional-development-day, or full-day programs may be offered separately for an additional fee.

Absences and Schedule Changes

Parents and guardians must notify Mission ECHT as soon as possible when a child will be absent or when the child’s dismissal or pickup plan changes.

Refunds, credits, or makeup days are not provided for missed days.

Requests to change a child’s regular schedule must be submitted in writing. Schedule changes are subject to program capacity, staffing, and space availability.

A schedule change is not confirmed until the family receives written approval from Mission ECHT. Any tuition adjustment will begin when the approved schedule change takes effect.

Late Pickup

Children must be picked up by their registered pickup time.

A late fee of $25 for each 15-minute period, or portion thereof, will be charged after the scheduled pickup time.

For example, a pickup occurring between 6:01 and 6:15 PM will result in a $25 late fee.

Repeated late pickups may result in a required schedule change or termination of enrollment.

Payment Methods

Mission ECHT accepts:

  • ACH or electronic bank payment

  • Credit or debit card

  • Check

  • Other approved electronic payment methods

Any transaction or processing fee charged by an outside payment provider will be disclosed before payment.

Returned payments may be subject to a fee equal to the charge incurred by Mission ECHT.

Late Tuition Payments

Tuition is due on the first day of each month.

Families experiencing a temporary financial difficulty should contact Mission ECHT before the payment deadline. Mission ECHT may approve an alternative payment arrangement at its discretion.

Continued enrollment may be affected if tuition remains unpaid and no written payment arrangement has been approved.

Withdrawal

Families wishing to withdraw from the program must provide at least 30 days’ written notice.

Tuition remains due throughout the 30-day notice period, regardless of whether the child attends.

Registration fees are non-refundable. Tuition paid for periods before the effective withdrawal date is also non-refundable.

Any refund of prepaid tuition will be calculated according to the effective withdrawal date, the required notice period, discounts received, and services already provided.

If a family received the annual pay-in-full discount and withdraws before the end of the school year, Mission ECHT may recalculate the tuition used at the regular monthly rate before determining any refund.

Enrollment and Placement

Submitting an interest form or enrollment application does not guarantee placement.

Enrollment is confirmed only after:

  1. Mission ECHT offers the child a place;

  2. The parent or legal guardian accepts the offer;

  3. All required enrollment documents are completed;

  4. The annual registration fee is paid; and

  5. The first tuition payment or required deposit is received.

Placement is subject to available space, staffing, program suitability, and Mission ECHT’s ability to support the child’s safe and successful participation.

Financial Assistance

Mission ECHT believes that meaningful environmental and enrichment education should be accessible to children from different financial circumstances.

Limited financial assistance may become available based on demonstrated need and available funding. Families may contact Mission ECHT confidentially for information.

Submitting a financial-assistance request will not automatically guarantee assistance or placement.
