Our Mission

Who We Are

Mission ECHT empowers children and communities to protect the environment, oceans, waterways, and wildlife through education, hands-on learning, and meaningful action.

We believe that children who understand the natural world are more likely to care for it. Through environmental education, enrichment programs, community events, and public advocacy, we help young people develop the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills to become thoughtful stewards of our planet.

What We Protect

Healthy oceans and waterways are essential to wildlife, communities, and the future of our planet. Mission ECHT raises awareness about threats including plastic and chemical pollution, overfishing, destructive fishing practices, habitat loss, offshore drilling, and damage to coral reefs and coastal ecosystems.

Our work promotes informed choices, responsible environmental practices, and solutions that protect both people and wildlife.

Our Approach

We turn environmental education into engaging, age-appropriate experiences through:

  • Afterschool enrichment programs

  • Hands-on science and sustainability projects

  • Ocean and wildlife education

  • Gardening and nature-based learning

  • Community workshops and events

  • Environmental advocacy and public awareness
